WealthWorks is proud to be a part of The Wescoe Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis Golf Outing. We are going into our 4th Annual Golf outing on September 20, 2024. Join us for a fun day on the golf tournament and support a cause that affects many people, yet not widely known.
We became knowledgeable of this condition, when Mike's Dad was diagnosed a few years ago. This cause is very close to our hearts.
What is Pulmonary Fibrosis?
- It's the progressive scarring of the lungs that occurs when air sacs known as alveoli gradually become replaced by fibrotic tissue or scar tissue. As the scar tissue becomes thicker, it leads to stiffness in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe.
Is there a cure?
- To date, there is no cure, no way to reverse the scarring.
What does Wescoe Foundation do?
- WFPF is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides support, education, advocacy, and resources for patients living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) as well as their care partners and families, in order to sustain the highest possible quality of life.
